THE FAIRY PACK

The Fairy Pack contains 42 cards divided divided into the four elements of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.  One of the two remaining cards is considered to contain all of the elements, and the other remaining card of the 42 is considered the "Unmanifest" card, also called the "Blank" card.  The 127-page book in full color that comes with this set offers information about the fairy, the interpretation, and a lesson of that card.  Also included for each card is the corresponding plant or flower, cultural tradition, habitat, and the time of day for which the card relates.  A "Magical Task" follows the interpretation and story of the fairy card, and this is designed to help you invite a particular fairy's assistance or to experience the lesson of that fairy.  The tasks range from visualizations, meditations, spells, making alters, taking nature walks, making charms, writing, or baking.  These are optional exercises or tasks for those that are interested, but some of them are rather interesting.

Several card layouts are presented in the book.  Reversed cards can be used with this deck. A reversed interpretation is included with each of the card's meanings.  The cards measure 3-1/8" x 5-1/8."  They are printed on thin, non-glossy cardstock.  The art of the cards seems somewhat flat -- they don't seem to stand out or "come to life" in a vivid manner, but they are attractive nevertheless.

The paperback book and the cards are packaged together in an attractive, sturdy box with a top lid that lifts off.

Some of the best uses of this deck can be for meditation purposes as well as for use in forecast spreads -- such as monthly or annual readings.  I have also found it to be a useful fairy deck choice in spreads that contain a lesson to be learned and/or advice for a matter at hand.
